Global Canopy Programme
Planet Under Pressure

‘Planet Under Pressure’ is the second film we produced for the Global Canopy Programme, a tropical forest think tank working to demonstrate the scientific, political and business case for safeguarding tropical forests as natural capital.

Global Canopy Programme
Amazonia Security Agenda

Amazonia’s abundant natural resources underpin water, energy, food and health security for the people and economies of the region and far beyond. At the heart of this nexus of securities is water. So abundant in the region, but now under increasing threat as industrial and agricultural pollution increases, and extreme droughts reveal a once unthinkable water vulnerability.

Both films made for the Global Canopy Programme needed to draw attention to the beauty and power of the rainforest, at such high risk nowadays, so the colours and the feel of the animation had to reflect that.

We drew inspiration from the colour palette of each depicted geographic location, using greens and bright blues for South America, but warmer oranges and yellow tones for South Africa and California.
